Core Leadership Team Nominations 2024-25

It is that time of year again, where John Wesley Methodist Church begins nominating and interviewing potential members of the Core Leadership Team (CLT). This team provides lay representation for the congregation. It functions primarily as discerners and shepherds, and as such serve as the conscience and guardians of the church.  As discerners and shepherds, the CLT fulfills Acts 20:28, “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which he purchased with his own blood.”

The time has come to begin taking nominations for the new slate of Core Leaders for the 2024-25 term.  Active members of the church are invited to CLICK HERE and fill out the form to nominate themselves or another for this leadership team. During the month of April, as your Senior Pastor, I will lead candidate interviews accompanied by other current CLT members.  I will present the qualified candidates to the current CLT in early May.  A final slate of candidates will be presented to the church in mid-May leading up to the annual Church Conference on May 19,2024. Members gathering at the Church Conference will approve the slate of candidates who will take office July 1, 2024.

The following information provided will help you decide whether you fit as a candidate or another active member.  *** For the 2024-25 slate, there will be 3 to 4 team member slots open. I will share the positions that are open in the near future.
