Let’s Finish 2024 Strong Together!
Dear John Wesley Methodist Church Family,
As we enter the Advent season, I want to take a moment to pause and express my heartfelt gratitude for your faithful support of God’s work through John Wesley Methodist Church. Your generosity has enabled us to carry out meaningful ministry, for example:
These are just a few examples of the incredible ways God is working through John Wesley Methodist Church to bless our congregation, school families, and local community. None of this would be possible without your partnership in giving.
Take the time to read a summary of the accomplishments towards our 2024-25 goals.
Our ability to continue to support and grow these ministries depends on our financial resources. Like many aging buildings, ours continues to face unforeseen maintenance challenges, which have stretched our budget. Your church staff is doing more with fewer employees to be financially conservative, and their efforts need to be rewarded moving into the new year. At the same time, we’ve seen a decrease in giving due to many factors.
Our Core Leadership Team is asking everyone to help us finish 2024 financially strong. You can help by:
I am deeply grateful for everyone who continues to be generous and thank God in advance for those who will join us in finishing the year strong. We look forward to celebrating Christ’s birth with you. Go to www.jwchurch.org/christmas to see all the events and worship opportunities for the season.
As we look forward to celebrating Christmas, we must also acknowledge a challenge we face together: meeting our financial needs as we finish the year. Like many aging buildings, ours requires ongoing maintenance, which has stretched our budget. At the same time, giving has declined, leaving us with a gap to close before 2024 ends.
Now is the time to make a difference! Give Here!
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Phil. 1:3-6
Thank you for being a faithful part of this church family. Let’s finish strong and carry God’s work forward into an even brighter future.
In Christ,
Rev. Dr. Marty Dunbar

Dear John Wesley Methodist Church Family,
As we enter the Advent season, I want to take a moment to pause and express my heartfelt gratitude for your faithful support of God’s work through John Wesley Methodist Church. Your generosity has enabled us to carry out meaningful ministry, for example:
- Building God’s Kingdom: JW Christian school carried on our community tradition of honoring veterans in our church and community with a special Veterans Day program
- Sharing Christ with the Next Generation through the Performing Arts: The JW Kids Music team performed their Fall show, The Bible Idea Group, and it was nothing short of spectacular!
- Supporting Our Brothers and Sisters: Our Prayer and Care ministry continues to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support to those facing health challenges and personal loss.
- Discipling Christian Moms: Our women’s ministry for moms of young children has grown into a thriving community of love and support—a true blessing to our church.
- Fostering Community and Connection: Our final Wednesday Night gathering for the year was a joyful Thanksgiving Dinner, welcoming over 150 members and guests to the table.
These are just a few examples of the incredible ways God is working through John Wesley Methodist Church to bless our congregation, school families, and local community. None of this would be possible without your partnership in giving.

- Finishing Strong: Complete your 2024 partnership commitment.
- Being Generous: Make an end of the year gift if you have not given this year.
- Making a Difference: If you are in a position to make an extra mile gift, this is a critical time to help John Wesley meet our financial needs.
