1. Why is John Wesley Methodist Church undergoing this renovation and expansion project?
This project is about more than just updating our building; it's a commitment to investing in the future of our church and community. As we celebrate 50 years of ministry, we recognize the need for fresh, secure, and well-resourced spaces to accommodate growth, enhance worship, and better serve our members and the community for generations to come.
2. What is the main focus of Phase One of the master plan?
Phase One focuses on revitalizing key areas of our existing campus and invests in our infrastructure as a foundation for achieving the remainder of the Master Plan in Phases Two and Three, including:
• Sanctuary: Modernizing audio, lighting, video channel, HVAC, pews, and flooring area for an enhanced worship experience.
• Welcome Center: New Guest services desk, new JW kids entrance, upgraded coffee/hospitality kitchen, an adult classroom, and added security.
• Campus Improvements: Enhancing parking, signage, and outdoor spaces, including a new playground.
• Infrastructure Upgrades: Mechanincs systems, prayer chapel, bathrooms, and pavillion activities building.

7. What is the timeline for completing Phase One?
The God is Big Enough campaign will launch February 2, 2025. The campaign will ask people to make a three year commitment. Once funding is arranged, the architects will move forward with construction drawings and construction dollars will be finalized with a contractor. Then we will launch into the upgrades and remodeling. The upgrades will be ongoing over the time period. The goal is to have some work accomplished by the end of 2025 or early part of 2026. We commit to move forward with Phase One as efficiently as possible.
8. What happens if we don’t raise all the money needed?
The CLT and LRPT will be guided by the vision and core values of our church to make those decisions in order of priority.
