How to Listen with the WaveCAST App
1. Connect to Wi-Fi
• Open your phone’s Settings → Wi-Fi.
• Select “JW Public.”
• Wait until it shows Connected.
2. Download the WaveCAST Audio Receiver App
iPhone
• Open the App Store.
• Search “WaveCAST Audio Receiver.”
• Tap Get.
Android
• Open the Google Play Store.
• Search “WaveCAST Audio Receiver.”
• Tap Install.
3. Plug in or Pair Your Listening Device
• Use wired earbuds or headphones, or
• Make sure your Bluetooth hearing aids or headphones are already paired to your phone.
4. Open WaveCAST
• Open the WaveCAST Audio Receiver app.
• If it asks for permission to use the network or local devices, tap Allow.
5. Choose the John Wesley Channel
• You should see “John Wesley Methodist” on the screen.
• Tap “John Wesley Methodist” to connect.
• (Optional) Tap the heart icon ❤️ to save it as a favorite for next time.
6. Listen & Adjust Volume
• Press Play if it doesn’t start automatically.
• Use your phone’s volume buttons to set a comfortable level.
How to Connect with Auracast™
1. Ensure Your Device Supports Auracast / Bluetooth LE Audio
• Use an Auracast-enabled hearing aid, earbuds/headphones, or compatible smartphone.
• If unsure, check your device specifications or ask venue staff.
2. Turn On Bluetooth
• Open Settings → Bluetooth.
• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
3. Use the Auracast (Broadcast Audio) Menu
Join the broadcast audio stream from your device.
On iPhone (iOS 17+)
• Open Control Center.
• Tap the Audio Output icon.
• Select Auracast / Nearby Broadcasts.
On Android
• Open Quick Settings.
• Tap Broadcast Audio or Nearby Broadcasts.
• Select the channel named by the venue (for example, “JW Auracast”).
No Wi-Fi connection is required.
4. Select the Broadcast Channel
• Look for the correct channel (for example “JW Auracast”).
• Tap to join the broadcast.
5. Adjust Your Volume
• Use your device’s volume controls, or
• Adjust through your hearing aid controls if applicable.
6. If You Don’t See the Auracast Channel
• Make sure you are within range of the transmitter.
• Turn Bluetooth off and back on.
• Restart your device if needed.
• Ask venue staff if multiple channels are available or if you need assistance.
